Name: Crackedstar
Gender: Tom
Age: 45 Moons
Clan: QuakeClan
Rank: Leader
Lives: 9
Description:
Crackedstar is an angry leader that has a pelt that looks like dirt with massive black cracks in the fur. His tail is average in length, and his build is bulky with muscle. This leader is built big as is many of his Clan because they suffer such harsh climate and raging disasters that is how they have to be.
Crackedstar has silver-blue eyes that see and know all. Nothing gets past him or his heavy striking paws. Picking a fight with him, especially if you are a small FloodClan cat, is like committing suicide; however, what he has in bulk he does not have in speed.
Personality:
Crackedstar’s personality is a direct representation of his pelt. He does not think things through, and when he comes up with a decision, it is most likely violence. His bloodlust is non-existant. He lusts for justice. The tom does take care to pick a deputy that is not as vicious as he, so that there is balance in the chain of authority. He does, however, hate a lot of things.
The leader of QuakeClan hates all other Clan cats, and it is like pulling his teeth out getting him to behave at a Gathering. He prefers the solitude of hunting alone and the thrill of seeing an apprentice succeed at his/her training. Everything that has to do with making his clan the strongest it can be is what he will do.
History:
Crackedstar was not always this dark. It was only when his apprenticeship began did he realize that there was a better chance at surviving if he was cruel. Crackedkit was born to QuakeClan’s deputy, Dryclaw, and a young female warrior, Wrentail. He was a playful and happy kit to an unhappy father and a quiet mother. With no siblings, he occupied his time with the elders and the other kits at the time. He seemed to take a liking to a kit that was born the same night as he for they were the closest pair ever. Nothing would ever separate Crackedkit and the she-kit, Pebblekit.
When he was apprentice, Dryclaw took over as mentor. He refused his new apprentice to have any association with Pebblepaw, and the two new apprentices began to see less and less of each other. They only slept close and ate together, never really talking about anything. Dryclaw was pleased with this, and he pushed his son harder, watching him excel faster then Pebblepaw or any other apprentice.
Crackedpaw was the first apprentice to be made a warrior after the night he was in a battle with FireClan. They had taken over some hunting territory, and it pleased them more to hear that FireClan turned around and killed a StormClan warrior for a little bit of StormClan territory. Crackedpaw’s eyes glowed at this news, and he smiled viciously. The last bit of the happy kit Pebblepaw once knew was all gone.
Crackedpaw became Crackedtooth, in honor of his cracked tooth he attained that night. The tomcat began to plan as to how he would reach the leadership position. The ambitious warrior watched his father age and the great Quakestar begin to look around to find a young creature. Of course, by this time, Pebblepaw had become a warrior as well, and Quakestar would always favor his daughter over all else. Crackedtooth needed to end this. Pebblefur would not get the chance to be deputy before him.
They went on a patrol together, the longest they had ever been together in some time. She spoke to him as they once did, and he softened at her gesture, speaking as they once did. There was something else though that bothered him. If she were to be deputy, and then leader, she could not have kits, and Crackedtooth had always loved Pebblefur, since they were kits. They traveled there patrol line, and it was here that his position was inevitable.
A snake took Pebblefur’s life that day, and he, with a heavy heart, dragged her back to camp as quickly as possible. It was too late. Two brave cats had died that day, and Crackedtooth watched as Quakestar stood up and announced him as the new deputy. With Dryclaw and Pebblefur gone, all he had now was his job.
Quakestar made the right decision, as he passed on a couple of sunrises later. He angrily watched as Floodstar announced him as the new leader, and as his first act, sent a patrol of four of his best warriors to escort them out. His final words were the first of many strong phrases.
’Don’t ever come back to QuakeClan. We are not who we once were and we will not take your entrance lightly!’
