The Flood Lands are filled with many varieties of small and medium sized mammals. Muskrats, voles, moles, birds, snakes, and mice are quite common to the flood lands. During Newleaf, the Flood Lands are completely under water. Prey flees from the water to other lands and FloodClan cats have to seek other places for filling their bellies.
