StormClan Camp The StormClan camp is set in a stone bowl carved out by the winds and rain. The slopes are curved, allowing easy access and still requiring that the clan cats build their barriers with nettles and brambles. One side of the bowl is relatively flat, a small indention into the wall with a small ramp and ledge leading up to it. This is the leader's den and the calling rock where he holds clan meetings. To the right sits the warriors den built with brambles and thick thorns that have blown from QuakeClan territory into StormClan lands. Farther to the right lay the elders den, hidden beneath another set of thick brambles and thorns. Next to the elder's den, a log separates them from the medicine cat's den. The medicine cat uses this log to store herbs by gouging shelves into it. The log is also used by the elder for sunbathing. To the left of the leader's den sits the nursery. With the wall only beginning to slope away, the nursery requires less hazardous thorns to protect it, keeping the kits safe and secure. Finally, the apprentice den sits on the other side, closest to the entrance.[/center] ((Picture coming soon))

A gray-and-white she-cat opened her eyes slowly as the morning sunlight filtered in through the branches of the apprentices' den. She rose to her paws, yawned, stretched, and padded out of the den, flicking off scraps of bedding as she went. Lightningpaw squinted in the bright sunlight, but however much it irritated her eyes, the warm light felt so good on her fur. A small purr escaped her, and she sat down near the entrance to the apprentices' den to give herself a wash. She glanced around the camp between licks; not looking for any cat in particular, just wondering if anyone else was awake. She wasn't too keen on conversing usually, but she wouldn't mind someone to talk to.

Windtail awoke to the sound of silence. He was used the sound of rain against the ground. There was hardly a day that went by without precipitation. All around him, warriors slept plesently. He was overjoyed that the skies were clear that he just had to get out and enjoy it.
Carefully stepping over cats, he made his way out of the Warrior's den and into camp. Not only was the sky clear, but it was sunny. The tom closed his eyes and soaked up the warmth it gave off. When he opened them again, he noticed Lightningpaw was up and about. He waved his tail in greeting to the young she-cat.

Lightningpaw pricked her ears as she heard movement from the Warriors' den. She turned to see Windtail emerge from the den, soak up the sunlight for a moment, then greet her with a wave. Gesturing back to him with her tail, she purred a greeting and called out (not too loudly, of course, there were still sleeping cats), "Good morning, Windtail." She dipped her head to the cat of higher rank. "Isn't it beautiful? Rare weather for us, hm?" Lightningpaw hesitated. She usually was much more quiet than this. Maybe the weather was making her feel a bit out of character. She shrugged to herself - it wasn't a bad feeling. Actually, she felt almost delightful. She smiled to Windtail.

Shatteredcry heard nothing. No rain, tapping gently or roughly on the roof, and no damp air. It felt warm and crisp, and she inhaled with a small, happy sigh. She felt the fog in her mind thin, and then dissapear, and opened her beautiful eyes. She yawned, and got to her paws after a nice, long stretch. She sqweazed out ofthe warriors den, her strange pelt glowing in the sun. She let a weak smile pop onto her face, and she fluffed up her fur, before remembering it was sunny, and let it lay flat. She saw her apprentice, happy and talking to Windtail, and slowly walked over. "Hello, Lightningpaw, Windtail." She said in a gentle voice, drifting lightly threw the air.

Lightningpaw dipped her head to her mentor as she approached. "Hello, Shatteredcry," she meowed. Turning her face to the sun, she let out a little purr. It was so nice to have light and warmth for once, though she did enjoy the rain and thunderstorms. Rare for a cat, yes, but she liked feeling the power of a storm and the cool rain on her pelt. Briefly she wondered what she would be doing today, how she would spend a rare day such as this. Hunting practice? Battle training? Energy surged through her paws at the thought of a day training with her mentor. Lightningpaw was determined to become the best warrior she could be. She voiced her thoughts. "Shatteredcry, what are we doing today?"
