South Border
The south border gives away from the soft marshlands of the FloodClan territory to the cracked lands of the QuakeClan. Both FloodClan border patrols and QuakeClan border patrols come to remark their borders. ((Pictures coming soon))

Sunfire walked relatively slowly for their first time out, flicking her ears and scenting as they went. It was a warrior's duty to make sure that all was perfect in the world, and to do this, they had to be alert. Coming close to the FloodClan patrol also gave way where the cracks of their land became slightly softer, shoots of grass persevering through the dry earth. "Alright, Stonepaw. What can you smell here?" Old habits were hard to kick, and the enunciated words came back full force. She stood out in the opening, staring across the border into FloodClan territory. The plush terrain held soft warriors and fat kits. StormClan suffered nearly as bad as QuakeClan, but the other two clans were just as good as being fed by StarClan's paws.

Stonepaw followed silently, her large form moving quickly with long strides. She paused and sniffed the air, eyes blazing, and said, "Floodclan? Prey?" She smelt some kind of prey. She swished her tail, but took in the muddy, gooey smeel, making her nose scruntch in disdain. That was terribly gross. She took a short step back, feeling the rock under her hard pads.

"FloodClan is a good start. Smells like you caught scent of one of their mice. There is plenty of prey during good seasons on their side of the border. Always has been, and always will be like that." There was clear disdain for the other Clans in her voice. Had she been leader, QuakeClan may have been in a constant quarrel with every other cat in the forest, from the tame to the Clan cats. She would have ruled on a pile of bones. Shaking her head, she sniffed again, taking a step along the border. "Come here and smell this. This is one of our markers, claiming the border. Never go across."

Stonepaw wrinkled her nose and sniffed the rocky smell, a haven from the nasty decaying smell. She looked at the line, memorizing that she should never go across, or risk making a very bad sitiuation for her, one she might not walk away from. She swished her tail and backed away again, waiting for her to lead the way, leaving deadly fire in her track.

Sunfire looked expectantly at Stonepaw, but was pleased to find that she just seemed more eager to embrace the Warrior code then test it's limits. Sunfire never broke the warrior code, but she did enjoy hunting dangerously close the border. Never one paw over it, but just barely alongside it. It was only fair to make the other clans aware of the QuakeClan presence. She stepped away until they were a good few fox-lengths away. "Their scent is a little stale as of yet. They haven't put together a dawn patrol is my guess. Do you have any questions as of yet?"

Stonepaw shook her head, her nose still burning a bit from the acrid smell that came from the mashy land. She flicked her tail, now close to the ground, and looked at her 'mentor' in a way that asked if they could leave. The smell made the fur along her spine rise, and put vile in her mouth. Her eyes flared and she needed the ground.

Stonepaw would get used to the smell over time, Sunfire knew that. The she-cat twitched her tail a little bit, leading the apprentice farther away from the border. It was still a little early for them to go and learn how to hunt. That would be another day's training. It was best to get her familiar with the territory first before actually having her try and fend for the Clan in it. "Well, we'll head back to the camp. An easy day of training, I know. We shall get more vigorous in it tomorrow. We'll go by the FireClan border, and then come back by the Flaming Path to hunt. That will take up a good chunk of tomorrow."

Stonepaw nodded, her hate still blazing from their talk. She was evil, and she remembered stories of her life that others had told her when she was a kit. She lashed her tail once and thought, What happened to Shatteredlegs won't happen to me, and slid her claws out. "Ok," She said quietly, not wanting her to detect the spite in her voice.

Everyone had the wrong idea about Shatteredlegs, but Sunfire was to blame for that. Sadly, she did not know that Stonepaw thought ill of her for it, or there might have been some effort to explain how horrible and sudden the shakes can take away the life of a perfectly capable apprentice or warrior. Shatteredlegs deserved more then being retired before her warriorhood had even begun. Dipping her head down, she lead the way back to camp, the tips of her claws digging into the dry earth.

Stonepaw trotted behind her, her steps silent, even if she had a large form. She frowned deeply, drowned in thought. What would she do? She couldn't turn into her, but she had to learn to fight! But then, the reasuring tingle came back to her spine and smiled dimmly. This wouldn't last to long, she hoped at least, because she couldn't stand her forever.
