Crackedstar frowned at Cleargaze's reaction. He was only looking out for his warrior's best interest, and it seemed the she-cat could have a long life ahead of her, not to be threatened by training some kit. He shook himself of such a dumb notion, but StarClan must have surely sent that jolt for some reason?
"I haff recieffed a message from ShtarClan fhat tellfs me ofherwise," he replied curtly, sounding ridiculous with the moss in his mouth.

Cleargaze could believe that Crackedstar was holding the apprentice away from her. She could train Stonekit just as well as any other warrior, but after his message about receiving a warning from StarClan, she spoke no more ill of having the opportunity taken from her. Instead, her tail swayed behind her gently and she nodded in strict warrior obedience. "I understand," came her muffled reply. By now, they were close to camp once more and she skirted inside the entrance and disappeared into the heart of camp.
