Stonekit grolwed and said in a taunting voice, "Attack me, see what happens, when the leader finds you mauling a tiny, helpless kit! She lashed her tail and got to her paws, and started to walk away, her solid black pelt hining lightly in the sun. She held her tail high, and kept walking, wanting nothing to do with the harsh, arragent flea eating mouse-brained she-cat. She held her head as high as her tail untill she reached the 'sunning rocks' where she layed down, soaking up the sun.

Sunfire was getting under Stonekit's fur, she could tell. The warrior did let up though. With her shoulders pushed forward, she yowled after the little black she-cat, spitting and hissing. "You walk away from me all you want. You'll walk away from the only pureblood warrior here in the clearing currently. As far as any true QuakeClan cat is, no one even know who your mother is. Bad blood in the Clan. Bad blood." Sunfire ranted, prancing from once paw joyously. Crackedstar was out of camp for now, but she couldn't keep this up forever. He would be back soon.

Stonepaw's eyes stayed closed, but she felt anger, untamed and visious, bubble in her stomach, and she felt the need to ripp the stupid she-cats throat out. Stonekit calmed her voice and yowled back, "Well then, you want want to mentor a kitten with tainted blood, now would you?" She wanted to through her off a gorge, to her death, and watch her 'pure' blood leak into the rock.

Sunfire ambled over to her, prancing lightly from one paw to another. She had her way in, and suddenly her demeanor played down a little. She walked straight and gracefully, less awkward then normal. Far less. Slowly, she brought herself to a sitting position in front of Stonekit. Those bright green-gold eyes of her shined as she stared at Stonekit sincerely this time. Her mews were slow and soft, so that she didn't act as herself. "Yes, I would choose to have a tainted blood apprentice. No one else believes in your pure blood, but who needs pure blood? You live, breath, and can fight once trained. I want a friend, and a kit of my own. You see, I wish to be the mother you never have and I want you to be the kit I never got."

It was Stonekit's turn to hit low this time. She shot to her paws without hessition and hissed, "Mabey if you weren't so mean, snobby and harsh, you would have a mate, and kits! NOW LEAVE ME ALONE!" She yowled loudly. What was wwrong with this cat? Multiple personality disorder? She was a weirdo! Stonkit hissed again and dashed to her den, hiding in the darkest corner, blending in perfectly, invisable to all eyes.

Sunfire watched the kit dash off, the blow taken to heart only briefly. She never wanted a mate in truth, although she needed one to have kits. Toms were simply too much to have as mates. They putzed and worried about their queen's too much. It was rather sickening, but kits were worth having. They kept the bloodline going and made a mother proud. She wanted kits, no matter the cost. She simply would get them her own way. Besides, everything had worked according to plan. Now Stonekit was out of the way for Crackedstar to arrive. No yowling, no screaming between the two. It would look perfect in his eyes to see them so far and so quiet. Quietly, Sunfire moved over to the fresh-kill pile, taking a dauntingly skinny mouse for her meal.

Stonekit shook, sobbing deeply in her den, all alone, tears sliding down her cheeks. She hated the stupid she-cat, she needed to die, to get out of her life. She was a menace, and stupid she-cat with no soul. She wanted to scream this to the worls, to make them see her for who she realy was. A devil, a cat somoned from the dark forest.

Crackedstar trotted back into camp, mulling over choices for Stonekit's mentor. The choice became clear as he saw the she-cat in camp, Sunfire. Of course! He thought. The she-cat was such an obvious choice that it was almost wrong that he hadn't thought of her in the first place. "Sunfire, I would like to speak with you a moment," Crackedstar spoke to her as he approached the she-cat. Of course, such a loyal QuakeClan cat would willingly take on any order without hesitation, and Sunfire was a great asset to QuakeClan.

Stonekit dragged in one last raggid breath, before she huccupped once, and whipped the fast and coming tear away with her black paws. She opened her vibrant blue eyes, a bit clouded, but other wise, fine. She hicupped again, but shoved the rest away and got to her paws, her back hair almost touching the ceiling with her height and size. She blinked her eyes a couple times to expell the cloudiness. She sighed, strengthening her sheild, her former self back, she trotted out of the den, tail high, face neutreal.

Cleargaze slipped in after Crackedstar, her tail waving slightly with a deep hatred for having the possible apprentice taken from her. She walked by the fresh-kill pile, dropping the lizard off before disappearing into the warrior den so that she could redo her nest. It would not take her long, but she wanted to have some nice clean, soft moss for her bed later.
Sunfire perked her ears, that sick personality purring to see that her plan was working so perfectly. Stonekit was no where around to even consider conniving Crackedstar away from choosing her. "Yes Crackedstar? I see you and Cleargaze went out this morning. What would you like me to do?" The innocence poured in her words as she stood up, joining the tabby warrior. That white warrior often gave her trouble it seemed, taking Crackedstar's time all for herself.

Stonekit, with her tail held high, wanted to ripp the sick she-cats eyes out with her long sharp claws. Was that her trying to be innocent? It sounded fonney. She sat down, glaring at the sorry she-cat with poison dagers. She felt a tingle, a hopful, but certain glint, that if she were to be her mentor, it would end quickly and painfully for the cruel she-cat.This made her over joyful, filling her with untaimed hope that she wouldn't have to see her everyday, become liked her. She shivered at the very thought, but caste it away. That will never happen.

"It seems Stonekit needs a mentor, and you are quite a capable warrior to do so," Crackedstar replied stiffly. He remembered how they had competed for deputy-ship, and her bitterness since then. "I have made my final choice that you will be Stonekit's mentor," he meowed. And I wouldn't mind if StarClan chose you to join their ranks along the way, he thought darkly. She had caused a good deal of trouble with her border 'patroling', stirring up fights. "StarClan has sent a sign to me that you shall be the kit's mentor," he added.

Sunfire felt little jolts of both suspicion and excitement. She was finally getting her dues it seemed, but for StarClan to interfere? There were very few relations of QuakeClan that would enter the fray to help her get what she wanted; however, she did not question it further. With a gracious look, she lowered her head and purred, "Thank you Crackedstar. It will be my honor to teach Stonekit all that I know."

Crackedstar nodded his head in response, and padded over to the Calling Rock, in order to gather the Clan. "Cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather around Calling Rock for a Clan meeting!" he yowled, probably waking some cats up with his booming voice. It was time for Stonekit to be apprenticed, and a vague thought that Cleargaze might be offended was far in his mind, but it still lurked.

Cleargaze heard the call from inside the warrior den, just barely finishing her nest as the other warriors bustled out into the clearing. The icy-gazed cat peered around and looked up at Crackedstar. She barely noticed the fact that Sunfire, that brindle looking she-cat, was beaming beneath the Calling Rock. Although she knew she would not be picked to mentor Stonekit, she had no idea whom would mentor the young cat. Stonekit deserved a great mentor, and there were plenty of senior warriors here that could train her. She was perfectly capable as well, but something had happened to say otherwise. Sitting on the outskirts, she watched patiently.
Sunfire beamed as she took her place beneath Calling Rock, purring gently in that thunderous fashion to herself. Her tail flashed back and forth. The other cats were murmuring to themselves, curious as to what was going on. There was only a small inkling that this was about Stonekit's ceremony.
