Picture:
Name: Riverstar
Gender: Tom
Age: 48 Moons
Clan: FloodClan
Rank: Leader
Lives: 9
Description:
Riverstar is a short-haired tom with a black spotted silver coat. He has the pattern of a wildcat, and he has a sharp bite as one too. The tomcat is as large as QuakeClan leader, but as lean as StormClan’s leader. He is an even mix of both, built for fighting the strong current of the flood waters.
He has deep amber eyes like his mother, the only thing he inherited from her. Riverstar is built for swimming just as his father was, and his Clan follows him under his flowing guidance.
Personality:
Unlike StormClan and QuakeClan’s leaders, Riverstar wants to be fair with everyone. He is a mediator, but he will be a fighter when he has to be. Compassionate and wise, Riverstar is very into what his Clan does, as he has always been. The legacy of Floodstar, his father, was left with him.
Being fair does not always have it’s perks though, and he does have to be harsh with his warriors and apprentices from time to time. Anger him is not a good idea as he definitely does not want to have to come down on people. When he does, watch out.
History:
Riverkit was born in a litter of four. Sagekit, Tawnykit, Spottedkit, and Riverkit were the proud kits to Floodstar and his mate, Greyfern. Riverkit, Sagekit, and Spottedkit were the only three to make it to apprenticeship. Tawnykit died of Greencough earlier.
Riverkit was trained by Ambereye, a female warrior that had always been jealous of Greyfern. She did want to impress Floodstar, so his favorite son was trained well. Riverpaw learned how to swim and fish with such ease, while Sagepaw fell behind. He was slow for some odd reason, and the medicine cat could never figure out why. Spottedpaw was the Medicine Cat apprentice at the time, but she had not learned quickly either. She died from the intake of poisonous berries after forgetting they were not healing agents.
Riverpaw and Sagepaw were left, and Riverpaw trained harder to make up for the loss of his beloved sister. Sagepaw fell farther and farther behind, and one day, when the two apprentices were on patrol with their mentors, he was taken by a hawk and carried off. Where there once had been four standing alongside the other, now stood only one. The silver tom with the black spots had no one left but his parents. Ambereye took the young apprentice back to camp, where Floodstar mourned the loss of his fallen kits. He took over Riverpaw’s training at that point, letting Ambereye watch in anger.
Riverpaw became Riverheart, a warrior that flowed easily past and around things for the better of the Clan. The spotted tom sat vigil, and while he watched the stars, he thought he saw three of them blink happily at him. One of them had made it through to be a warrior, and he knew his siblings were proud.
The warrior was made deputy soon after that when the elderly warrior retired. Of course, the Clan knew that it was time for Riverheart to prove himself as a great leader his father was. They knew now was the right time.
Floodstar died alone, but not completely. Riverheart felt the presence of the other three leaders there, and he felt them give him the nine lives and become a leader. He laid next to his father for some time before leaving and mounting the place where he would announce the death. As soon as he did, Greyfern went pelting in to say her goodbyes. One by one, each cat, troop born or clan born, went to say their goodbyes. Floodstar was gone, but his son lived on.
'FloodClan is in my care, father. I won't fail you and I will bring peace once more to our ravaged lands.'
Roleplay Example:
Riverstar sat just outside his den in the camp clearing, watching the normally hustling FloodClan cats move around at his demand. Today, other then those heading out for training or patrol, he had told his clan to relax a little bit. The floods would not come to their territories until Newleaf, and he did not want to run his warriors ragged before then. The large silver tom stood up, moving quickly over to the fresh-kill pile. Where was that baby muskrat he had caught earlier? That type of food was so hard to come by, but such a delicacy to him, he really wanted it. Finally he found it, and he took it back over to his den to tuck in. Of course, he wouldn't mind having some company, if anyone wished to come to him.
